Hello, my name is Alyssa Drachslin, I attend Riverside Poly High School and will graduate in June 2012. I am in my eighth year of volleyball, a sport that I am completely dedicated to with all my heart and soul. I played volleyball in junior high and high school where I made the varsity team as a sophomore, starting Libero. We were League Champions two consecutive years, and as a team captain I earned First Team All League both Junior and Senior years. This season marks my second year playing for 951 Elite; 18-1’s with coaches Dennis Palpallatoc and John Mosbacher, and17-1’s with coaches Kurstan Olaso and Jolynn Faatulu. I am very fortunate to have signed this past fall with Temple University, in Philadelphia, where I will play volleyball as a Temple Owl. While it has been a dream of mine to play collegiate volleyball, I am eager to begin the new season at 951 to improve my game, contribute to my team’s success and ultimately prepare for Temple University. My academic career is just as important to me as volleyball. I completed my Junior year with a 4.67 G.P.A. making my cumulative G.P.A. 4.33. While I will enter college undeclared, I am considering majoring in history and law. I strive for excellence in all that I set out to accomplish, both on and off the court.
