Maddie Schamun

My name is Maddie Schamun and I am a 16 year old junior libero from Murrieta, California. This is my fourth year playing club volleyball and I have been a 3 year starter on the top team at Murrieta Mesa High School. I began as a setter but became attracted to the position of libero and playing defense. I was chosen as a member of the SCVA High Performance team this past summer where we traveled to Prague, Croatia, and Slovenia to play against international competition. My dream is to continue playing volleyball in college and, aside from sports, I am an active member of my school’s advanced filmmaking and video production class and hope to pursue a degree in journalism or broadcasting.
